About Us

At Kensington Dental the primary focus is the comfort, care and wellbeing of our clients.

We understand that a visit to the Dentist or Hygienist can cause some anxiety.

We strive to provide the best, most up to date dentistry possible. The clinicians are keen students of their profession, and attend national and international courses, seminars and presentations in their field, ensuring the skills they practice are of higher quality.

We take special care to ensure our clients are relaxed and comfortable and have a good comprehension of their treatment options. We are passionate about oral health and strive to achieve the best individual results possible - aesthetically, structurally and financially.

Mingkai Cai

Dentist - BDS Otago

Growing up in Auckland, I have spent the last few years in Dunedin where I completed my Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science at the University of Otago. Visiting Whangarei, I fell in love with the city and I am excited to begin a new chapter of my life here. I am dedicated to providing a gentle and comfortable dental experience for my patients. As a firm believer of lifelong learning, I am always looking to further my dental knowledge and welcome feedback in order to provide the best care possible. When I am not looking at teeth, I like to spend my time playing basketball or amongst nature, with a passion for houseplants and aquariums.
